There are countless details that go into the successful planning and production of a wedding. From the timeline to the photographer, to the flowers, seating charts and food. Oh, and let's not forget the tuxedos and dresses. All of the most important details are written down, discussed and probably changed a million times before the day of the actual event.
But, after all of those minor details have passed, and you're now happily married - it's time to party! Because everyone is there for a celebration after all, right?
Now, of course every wedding (and couple) is individual, but throughout all the years that weddings and wedding receptions (and frankly any event where dancing is involved) have existed, there are some traditions and staples that just come standard and would be safe to expect. Moments like tossing the bouquet, cutting the cake, and a stellar entrance are not only things we have all come to expect, but they are some of the most exciting moments of the whole event!
Another extremely important standard when it comes to weddings... music. Whether it's a DJ or a live band, being able to dance the night away with your significant other and all of your closest family and friends is something that is unforgettable for everyone in attendance. Having a good playlist is not only expected, but only amplifies the overall enjoyment and memory of the wedding for everyone
With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to put together a little collection of the ten most popular songs that you can expect to hear at just about every wedding you attend. Why are these songs on every playlist? They're fun, well-known, and can get just about anybody moving and grooving on the dance floor. We don't make the rules - we just follow them!
So, here they are (in no particular order):
1. Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran
2. Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5
3. Shout - The Isley Brothers
4. Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
5. Signed, Sealed, Delivered - Stevie Wonder
6. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
7. Hey Ya! - Outcast
8. September - Earth, Wind & Fire
9. Happy - Pharrell Williams
10. I Got A Feeling - Black Eyes Peas
We know there is a lot more than this, but you can't deny that at whether you attend one or fifty weddings, at least five of these songs will be played throughout the night. They are classic, heart-warming and songs that people have a connection to, so you really can't go wrong!
We would love to hear your "must have" wedding playlist songs! Leave us a comment on Facebook or Instagram and let us know!
