Although “Awards Season” has technically come and gone, there are a few shows that are sprinkled in throughout the off-season to keep us engaged and excited for all of the talent we know and love.
The Tony Awards is one of those shows that is a breath of fresh air when it comes to award shows. Its main focus is to recognize all of the extremely talented people, producers, actors, and shows etc. in the world of Broadway. With so many incredibly astounding and entertaining Broadway shows in production within the past year (and only continuing) we knew we were in for a great show.
We have to admit, the powerful, vibrant and memorable floral step-and-repeat at the Tony’s Red Carpet is one of the best parts about the whole show. It genuinely makes every outfit pop and look that much more glamorous.
Okay, okay, we know you’re here to see our favorite outfit picks of the night, so let’s get down to it! As always, in no particular order, we select a few of our favorite looks from Hollywood’s favorite men and break down what we love about them.
It doesn’t get much more classic or charming that a midnight navy tuxedo look. Andrew Garfield understood that when he sported one to this year’s Tony Awards. The pop in front of the floral background made Andrew look chic and handsome at the same time. The black accessories helped pull the look together, and we’re sure that accent wasn’t hurting his case either.
There is very little that Hugh Dancy can do wrong – and this classic (and understated) tuxedo look proves that. Hugh looked extremely dapper in his black peaked lapel tuxedo jacket paired with a striped necktie. The look was clean-cut and complimented his lovely and beautiful wife, Claire Danes, perfectly.
The legend himself, Bruce Springsteen was an absolute must to be on this list. Obviously because he’s Bruce Springsteen, but also… look how awesome he looks! Bruce’s all black ensemble was one of our favorites simply because of how stylish and elegant it actually looked. The all-black suited look is a trend that has been around for quite a while now, and as long as it is done correctly, it’s a look that can’t be beat!
Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons, Andrew Rannells, and Zachary Quinto
Representing the “Boys in the Band” Broadway play, was this foursome that not only looked like an actual band, but did it effortlessly! Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons, Andrew Rannells and Zachary Quinto (named from left to right), looked amazing in their colored tuxedo looks. The pop of color the guys gave was the perfect amount and they all complimented each other wonderfully. This was a big win in our opinion – as we love to see guys take a little fashion risk and brighten things up.
