Stepping Into Style: Golden Globes 2020

The new year and awards season started off with a bang, some laughs and a whole lot of style. If there is one thing we learned from the 2020 Golden Globe Awards it is that people are going to take a whole lot of fashion risks, women's jumpsuits and tuxedos are in style and that men are keeping it classic.

The Golden Globes are all about celebrating excellence in television and film from the acknowledgment of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. It's a great way to kick off award season and helps us realize that we can only go up from here!

New award season means new fashion and that is something you know we absolutely love to see. There was tons of great outfits (and a few not so great too) that hit the first red carpet of the year and they did not disappoint! So, for the first carpet round up, you know we had to bring you our top five picks for best dressed men - Golden Globes edition.

Joe Manganiello
Joe Manganiello might be known for his acting skills in True Blood and his dancing skills in the Magic Mike films, but he also has some killer fashion sense. Joe opted for a classic black shawl collar tuxedo jacket and a traditional white tuxedo shirt. The best part about Joe's outfit, was the little detail that he had on the pockets of his tuxedo jacket. The rhinestones were a fun and elegant touch to bring his tuxedo look from classic to party wear.

Daniel Craig
James Bond... we mean Daniel Craig, does it again. If you're looking for a traditional tuxedo look then Daniel is absolutely the one to emulate. Only he can make a double-breasted tuxedo jacket look as elegant and timeless as one possibly could. And to top everything off with a black bow tie only solidifies our reasoning for assuring that Daniel was on our best dressed list.

Kit Harrington
I guess its hard to expect anything less than perfection when it comes to the one and only Jon Snow. This blacked out tuxedo look might not be traditional when it comes to tuxedo style, but boy does it make a statement! Kit wore a fitted black peak tuxedo jacket and took a risk by wearing a black tuxedo shirt sans neckwear - which is something we also saw a lot of last season and have for sure approved of over time.

Brad Pitt
No one does it quite like Brad Pitt. We're not really even sure what "it" is, but whatever it is, Brad Pitt does it and does it well. It's very rare that this man ever looks bad, so it's no surprise that he made our list of red carpet stunners. Decked out in a traditional black tuxedo ensemble, topped off with a black tuxedo vest - Brad continues to win not just the Hollywood Foreign Press Association hearts, but ours too after all these years.

Mark Duplass
We love a good trend and Mark apparently does too! Mark was one of the few that sported a velvet tuxedo jacket as his Golden Globes attire. The actor and director looked awesome in his colored velvet jacket, classic black tuxedo pants and white tuxedo shirt.

All-in-all, if this is a sign of what is to come for award season, we can't wait to see what is next! We love the risks, the trends and most of all the carpet fun. Stay tuned as we cover the rest of award season and so much more!
